Our History

Living Hope Baptist Church is a church intentionally planted in Liberty S.C. The church began in May of 2014 with an informational meeting at the Walker McElmoyle Fire Station. On June 1st, 2014 we held our first worship service at the station with 40 in attendance, and began Bible study groups on Sunday nights.

In August 2014, Living Hope was blessed to find a building to lease and moved to its present site at 7615 Liberty Hwy. We converted the previous office space of a warehouse/office building into a worship area and several small Bible study rooms. The Church membership began to quickly expand.
Living Hope’s Church family has grown to more than 120 members, and on June 1st, 2018, we will celebrate our fourth anniversary!
The name Living Hope, came from 1 Peter 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a Living Hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” (HCSB)
